1st Avenue closed for construction beginning June 12

Construction along 1^st Avenue begins this summer for the third and final phase. This roadwork will occur in 5 stages, impacting the roadway between 8^th Street and 2^nd Street SE at different times. Through traffic will not be able to travel in the construction area during the project, and should instead detour to travel on 2^nd St. NW, 5^th Ave NW and 8^th St. SW/SE during construction.
